NCOM State Finals Cancelled! While we all feel an overwhelming sense of sadness for the teams who worked so creatively all year on their problem solutions, the current circumstances for dealing with the coronavirus global pandemic dictate that we cancel the 2020 NCOM State Finals scheduled for NC A&T State University on March 21, 2020. The NC A&T campus will be closed and many of our teams are unable to attend Finals due to school district travel restrictions. We are all disappointed and are very sorry we can't experience team creativity in live performances once again, but we have weighed the inconvenience of not holding Finals against the hazards of jeopardizing the health and safety of all our volunteers, judges, families, and, most importantly, our OMers. We have been in touch
with national headquarters and know a solution is in the works for
advancing teams to World Finals at Teams, please hold onto your solutions a bit longer! Thank you for understanding that the NCOM Board of Directors did not come to this decision to cancel Finals easily, but know it was a necessary one. |
